American Idol TV show announced in 11 June, 2002 with the voice of “American Idol: The Search for a Superstar”. It was a reality shows on American Television by fox network.
It was the first reality show and programe to search pop singer, music manager, music executive etc. by the common people. The show was depended on the public voting by phone to choose their hero by the stage.
American Idol is led by Rickey Minor. In the first season of American Idol it was hosted by former children's game show emcee and television personality Ryan Seacrest who is a comedian Brian Dunkleman and it was co-hosted with Seacrest during the first season.
Indian Idol inspired by American Idol and started a TV show which was a reality show in the music field to choose a superstar by the audience. Indian Idol produced and broadcasted on Sony TV, India and it is co-produced with FremantleMedi which is owned by the German media corporation Bertelsmann.
1st Indian Idol winner was Abhijit Sawant. Currently, we are watching its 3rd part in India very successfully and now it is a big platform for Indian youth to get a big chance in music field to explore their career.
American Idol show usually broadcasted on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the United States and Canada and on the Thursday and Friday nights in the UK. According to the show all the youth who are in 16-24 age, would get a chance to select in American Idol.
In the 1st season of american idol Kelly Clarkson was the winner in the show. After the success of the show most of the reality show is taking part among the general people to let them attach by their TV show.
However, I can say this type of show has given a chance to audience to participate in reality TV show and it is now a platform of advertisement also.
